Atlantic Property Management is looking for a Graphic Designer with experience in commercial suite layout and design to revitalize some of our commercial office suites. This will be an 8-week contract engagement (with the possibility of extension) with an anticipated immediate start date, and we are available to accommodate notice periods. 

The successful candidate's primary focus will be collaborating with our APM Manager and Technical Solutions Advisor to identify tools and processes for i) digitally staging available suites/properties and ii) bringing client renovation/staging visions to life.

Other projects may include creating illustrative floorplans, designing new branding/signage for a commercial property, mocking up planned renovations to common building areas, and more.

This position will also develop and propose new ideas for both internal and external designs. 

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the APM Manager and Technical Solutions Advisor to identify tools for digitally/virtually staging and renovating commercial suites
  • Create a variety of layouts and illustrations to be used at APM properties and for online listings
  • Design layouts and graphics that appeal visually and communicate with clarity
  • Understand and incorporate special design requirements based on client requests and/or regulations
  • Managing project deadlines and pursuing timely responses from all stakeholders

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in interior design in a commercial setting
  • Experience drafting and following floor plans
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Post-secondary qualifications in Graphic Design or related fields would be considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

To be eligible:

  • This position is partially funded via government grant; candidates must be between 15-30 years of age to qualify
  • International students are not eligible participants. This includes anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. As the objective of the Canada Summer Jobs program is to support youth entering the Canadian Labour market, the temporary nature of an international student's time in Canada does not allow for long-term connection to the labour market.
