The Retail Experience Clerk will provide the day to day customer service & sales at Atlantic Lottery's Retail Space. Adaptability and the ability to deal with a wide range of issues is a key aspect of this position. Interacting and providing quality, knowledgeable support to customers, players, winners and the public while maintaining corporate image and integrity and always ensuring confidentiality of information. Demonstrates accuracy when balancing cash & doing ticket inventory. The Retail Experience Clerk will learn about all lottery products & services and provide the best possible customer experience.

Averaging 19hrs per week with various shifts (Mon-Wed shifts are 9am-6pm, Thurs-Fri shifts 9am-8pm and Saturday 12pm-5pm) at our new location - 1680 Argyle Street, Halifax, NS

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Daily Operations of Retail Space: In this position, you are the face of the lottery's retail store. You are responsible for the sale and validation of lottery tickets. Ensuring accuracy with Point of Sales (POS), Gene, Debit, ticket inventory and prize payouts. This position requires an understanding of all new games and promotions that are currently within market. Accountable for daily balance of retail cash and tracking in the Finance database. May be accountable to open and close the retail store during your shift.

Other Duties: Other tasks may include winners processing, being an Atlantic Lottery Ambassador for promotional events throughout the year and general office administration.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience required with retail and/or sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Bilingualism an asset
