The Division of Engineering at Saint Mary's University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the History of Science and Technology. The successful candidate will be appointed to the Division of Engineering with a cross-appointment to the Department of History.

The successful candidate will teach the introductory courses needed to meet the Humanities requirements of students in the Division of Engineering, currently HIST 1301 "The History of Science and Technology." In addition, an opportunity to teach an upper level course in the candidate's area of specialization will be made available through the History department.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will hold a PhD in History with an established record of research in the History of Science and Technology. The Division of Engineering particularly encourages applications from candidates with experience teaching introductory courses to a diverse range of students. The standard teaching load at Saint Mary's is 3-2. Subject to budgetary approval, the appointment will begin on 1 July 2019.
