As a TCO Scheduler, you will manage the development distribution and maintenance of the 406 (M) OTS training schedule ensuring that scheduled training events are completed as scheduled or that required resources are available to facilitate completion of rescheduled events when they do not. The TCO interacts with squadron and Wing DND personnel as well as other Training ISS service functions as required to ensure TSS achievement of specified training schedules and availability rates.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to any/all instructional critique and feedback resulting from Continuous Improvement (CI) process that has been established for the MHP program and the MHTC.
  • Deliver interactive lectures using computer aided instruction and coaching practical skill training events
  • Monitor, track and document student progress using IIE-based (or interim) student performance reporting processes and procedures as required to maintain student progress or counseling documentation IAW TSS PMIs and established RCAF policy
  • Prepare, edit, and review Courseware in accordance with DND and MHTC business processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to CFITES principles;
  • Track assigned tasks to meet schedule, timeline and any other requirements to ensure all milestone(s) are tracked accurately throughout task execution
  • Communicate any requirements, constraints and issues with assigned tasks to MHTC management responsible for the subject task;
  • Identify, organize and manage resources (staff, services, and supplies) to successfully complete assigned tasks;
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with contractor provided training support activities.
  • Manage the schedule for all MHTC/406 (M) OTS training events to include supporting activities such as device modifications and testing events for training or training enabling systems occurring within the MHTC.
  • Generate accurate, detailed, supportable timeline and resource estimates in support of proposed tasks, including, if required, assessment of foreseeable risks and any identified mitigating actions;
  • Monitor milestones and track activities against assigned tasks, independently measuring progress against them
  • Provide effective workaround plans to compensate for any deviations;
  • Provide status of all aspects of product schedule status, work and issues
  • Lead as required facilitating program status updates
  • Support Training APM, CTM and TPSC Lead at management reviews, working groups and interface meetings as required.
  • Assist the Training APM and CTM as required to develop plans, estimates, schedules, budgets reports and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Previous Training Scheduling Experience considered an asset
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret clearance level
  • Proven ability to plan and problem solve
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess working knowledge of computer software applications
  • Proven ability to collaborate, build and maintain positive and professional working relationships
  • Proven ability to make sound and timely decisions; strong judgment skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a stressful, dynamic environment
  • The following items are highly desirable and would be an asset on application:
    • Experience in aviation industry
