New Brunswick Community College (NBCC)

Reporting to the Department Head, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for ensuring planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses within the program will include but are not limited to finance fundamentals, entrepreneurship, applied writing, business writing; research and report writing; technical writing and interpersonal communication. You will be responsible for planning of course delivery and other related duties. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices and be flexible in adapting to new technologies as well as instructing in a variety of subject areas.

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a degree in education or business administration with three (3) years demonstrated practical experience in the business environment; OR a two-year diploma in business administration with five (5) years of practical business experience. Applicants must have a strong communications background. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $27.35 to $38.54 per hour. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $42.08 per hour, based on their level of post-secondary education. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education - Instructional Group) for the College.
