We are growing in Sault Ste. Marie (or Toronto) and are currently looking for an experienced automation test lead to help us do that! The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying KPI's and including a process to validate metrics. They will also develop a standardized, repeatable test automation framework which supports key elements of the automated testing lifecycle and will help implement a release management methodology to assure reliability through the consistent automation of test cases.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Manage quality and test process on multiple multi-tiered, cross-functional applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to understand API requirements and solutions and define detailed API test strategies
- Lead development and execution of automation and API test plans, quality assurance reviews and test certification
- Create overall automation test plan including defining, estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities
- Work with QA test analysts to provide oversight on test scripts, tool usage and report analysis
- Coordinate with test engineers to manage test organization, test execution and test reporting
- Track status on sprints and test runs and reports test progress and test results
- Prepare reports on test results and identify test and deployment implications based on change impact and risks

- Collaborate with multiple business and IT groups across the organization and with external partners and vendors
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Extensive background supporting test automation initiatives in mid-to-large size companies
- Expertise in quality process and system testing best practices and methodologies
- Prior end-to-end QA process and testing lead experience
- 8-12 years of overall IT quality assurance experience
- 5 years of experience as an Automation Test Lead
- 5-7 years of experience testing web services
- Direct experience testing on 3-5 major cross-functional application projects
- Extensive knowledge of multi-tier application architecture and technology including web, mobile and API
- Experience working with SOA architectures and development tools (Java, REST, WSDL, web services, SoapUI, GIT)
- Experience with large scale, high volume web, mobile and API-based applications
- Experience working with test and automation tools Jira, HP ALM/UFT/PC, Selenium, SoapUI
- Experience in defining and adhering to QA and testing standards development and governance
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to IT and business leadership, customers, vendors and colleagues
- Prior experience using requirements management, test case management and test automation tools
