What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Department Head for Business and Applied Arts you will serve as a model for the Animation and Graphics' students in their life drawing classes, under the direction of the life drawing instructor. Models are expected to be able to hold poses from 30 seconds to as long as 45 minutes. While athletic ability is not required, body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the figure in poses is highly desirable.

The work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours and model must be able to work collegially with instructors, be professional and punctual, and record hours after each working session. Models must be comfortable posing clothed or nude. Work is part-time and requires a flexible schedule. Modeling sessions are 2-4 hours long and include breaks.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include previous professional modelling experience, ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and be at least 18 years of age. Model must not be a current student of New Brunswick Community College. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

NBCC offers a competitive hourly rate of pay for this position of $20.00 per hour. This position will require 6-15 hours of work per week on an as-needed basis.
