We are growing in Vancouver, BC and are looking for a Senior Tester to join our team! Experience with ERP testing is an asset. Candidates based in Vancouver will receive preference, though we will also consider strong candidates committed to working Pacific Time business hours. 

Responsibilities:

  • Review applications for testing maturity - requirements coverage, testing artifacts, etc.
  • Prioritize and provide recommendations for testing needs
  • Create project test plans and strategy
  • Provide work estimates and QA-specific resource requirements
  • Provide guidance and best practices for testing, following our client's standards and processes
  • Review requirements for testability, ambiguity, and redundancy
  • Ensure traceability matrices are available
  • Communicate the progress and status of testing
  • Identify testing risks and provide risk mitigation plans
  • Coordinate the testing efforts for projects that involve multiple applications or portfolios
  • Identify QA resources needed for projects
  • Provide testing metrics and KPIs
  • Keep stakeholders informed of the progress and status with appropriate dashboards and reports
  • Escalate QA issues to the project manager

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in QA and 3+ years of Test Lead experience is mandatory
  • Siebel test automation experience is mandatory
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal abilities are key for this role
  • Agile experience is preferred
  • Senior-level experience with test planning and strategies
  • Experience in test automation is a nice-to-have
  • Solid understanding of API testing
  • General knowledge of performance testing
  • Good understanding of SQL (PL-SQL, MS SQL Stored Procedures)
  • Experience using Micro Focus ALM is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work dynamically across multiple projects

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Lead testing initiatives for our key clients
  • Extract testing requirements from functional and business requirements
  • Design, implement, and optimize test frameworks from scratch
  • Conduct testing to align with client test methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, BDD, etc) and reporting solutions
  • Create test status reports
  • Execute ERP testing
  • Provide mentorship and training for less-experienced automation resources

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Computer Science degree, Engineering degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance industry
  • Experience in ERT testing
  • Experience in API test automation (SoapUI, Postman, etc)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience working in a client-facing, consultative capacity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose practical solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience having tested complex IT solutions
  • Flexibility, self-motivation and the ability to give and receive feedback at all levels
  • Adaptable and willing to work through challenges with a positive attitude
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships in a team-oriented environment
